TES Scholarships

The application period for the
2024-2025 academic year is closed

Scholarships are awarded each semester based on the named "Donor Fund". Each student that is awarded a scholarship must be a declared major and maintain a minimum 14 semester hours of credit in the semester of enrollment. Please see Academic Advisor for questions.

Nish, Dale-TECM

For students declared in the Technology Engineering Studies (TES) major.

Snell, William H.

This scholarship is eligible for full time upper division students in the TES department. High scholastic achievement; eagerness to learn; moral worthiness; financial need; other grants or awards will be factored into the consideration.

Wagstaff, George & Laura-Eng

For students with a minimum 3.0 GPA who are committed to completing a TES degree and living the honor code. Preference given to students who demonstrate financial need.

Monson, Hal L.

Designated for TES-Teaching track students only. This scholarship is designed for students with dedication and professional promise to the profession; Preference given to students who demonstrate financial need.

Christensen, Kip W. & Kim S.

For students who who are pursuing a degree in Technology and Engineering Studies (TES). Preference should be given to students who are enrolled in a woodworking course or who intend to pursue a career in teaching woodworking or in a woodworking profession. TES shall also have discretion to provide assistance to qualified BYU students who are not TES majors but are seeking advanced woodworking experience in TES courses.

Pearson, Byrd & E.N.

This scholarship will be awarded to deserving students in the TES Department who have a strong interest in the woodworking area.

American Woodturners

For students declared in the Technology Engineering Studies (TES) or Construction & Facilities (CFM) major.

Hill, Garth Scholarship

Designated for TES-Teaching track students only. Students in good scholastic standing with financial need. May be used for tuition, books, housing, etc.

Armstrong Scholarship

Preference given to students who demonstrate financial need. Not necessarily based on Financial Ranking.

Hinckley, Edwin & Beula Scholarship

Designed for TES students in their junior or senior year with outstanding scholastic ability and financial need who are not receiving another scholarship award.
